Does my baby need vitamin D?
Health authorities recommend giving all infants a daily vitamin D supplement (typically about 400 IU per day) from the first days of life, because breast milk alone usually doesn't provide enough – this helps prevent rickets. A practical tip from the guidelines: set a daily reminder so you don't forget. In HeyFini you add it under Medication with a daily reminder and check off each dose. Discuss the exact dose with your pediatrician.
How do I track medication and get reminded?
Under Medication you add a medicine with name, dose and one or more times – daily or on specific weekdays, with an optional end date for courses. HeyFini reminds you via in-app notification or a recurring calendar event with an alarm, and shows a Today checklist to tick off each dose. Perfect for daily vitamin D drops.
How often should a newborn be breastfed?
In the first weeks, many newborns feed about every 2–3 hours, i.e. roughly 8–12 times in 24 hours – ideally on demand. Every baby is different. HeyFini remembers feeding times and the last side used.
How much sleep does a baby need, and does the app show its duration?
Newborns often sleep 14–17 hours spread over the day. HeyFini tracks naps and night sleep, shows the daily total, and in the timeline previews the next sleep as a block with an estimated duration for today and tomorrow.
How many wet diapers per day are normal?
