Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. HeyFini works entirely without sign-up – the data lives in your private iCloud.
How do I invite my partner?
Settings → Family → Invite, share the link, accept. From then on both of you see the same data within seconds.
How do I import data from Baby+?
Create the export in Baby+ and open the file with HeyFini – details on the “Switch” page.
How much does HeyFini cost?
Tracking is free and ad-free. HeyFini Pro with Schedule, Statistics, Baby Monitor and AI chat costs €2.99/month or €19.99/year with a 7-day free trial and Family Sharing. The baby monitor is also available on its own for a one-time €7.99.
Which devices does HeyFini run on?
iPhone and iPad from iOS 17, Apple Watch, plus widgets and the Lock Screen. Languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch.
Is my data safe?
The data lives exclusively in your private iCloud; the developer has no access. No tracking, no ads.
How accurate are the predictions?
They are estimates based on your real intervals and get better every day – details on the predictions page.
I found a bug – where do I report it?
Write to hello@heyfini.app – ideally with your iOS version and a short description. Thank you.
What does “Today vs. Normal” mean?
The card compares the current day with your own normal from the last 14 tracked days, only up to the same time of day. “As usual” means within the usual spread, a chip like “+45 min” shows the deviation. It appears once seven days are logged.
Why don't I see any connections?
Connections need 21 tracked days and, per question, at least five days on each side, say five days with teething and five without. Until then the page shows how many days are still missing. You add tags like teething or tummy ache in the diary.
How does “Say it instead of typing” work?
Tap the mic at the top right of the home screen and say “wet diaper”, “120 ml bottle” or “asleep”. Recognition runs on the iPhone, nothing goes online. HeyFini shows what it understood, one tap logs it. Siri understands amounts too: “Hey Siri, 120 milliliters bottle in HeyFini.”
Does HeyFini show developmental leaps?
No, deliberately not. The well-known calendar of fixed leap weeks has no scientific backing. Instead, under Health → Development, HeyFini shows around 100 milestones in stages from 2 to 24 months, with explanations and play ideas, and the windows in which almost all babies learn to sit, crawl and walk. No dates, no pressure. The area is free.
What does “What is next” mean?
At the top of the home screen you see what your baby needs right now: tired, hungry, diaper or all on track, plus the next events, each with a tap on the why. What is different today is gathered in the Today vs. Normal card. With Pro, HeyFini adds what you can do now, with a why. Nothing in HeyFini is a diagnosis.
What is the care sheet?
A one-page PDF for grandma or the babysitter with rhythm, next time windows, food, medications, bedtime, emergency and your numbers. Under Settings → Family or as a card in the Health tab. You enter ritual, emergency and contacts once, HeyFini keeps them on the device.
Does HeyFini track my location on walks?
Only if you want it to. When you start a walk there is a switch “Measure distance with GPS”, off by default. It measures while the walk is running, even with the screen locked. The distance stays on the device, nothing goes to a server.
