Dressing your baby in spring & autumn

The in-between seasons are the supreme discipline: cool in the morning, mild at midday, plus wind and the odd shower. This is exactly where the layering principle shows its strength – several thin layers that you simply add or remove depending on the weather.

In short: a long-sleeve bodysuit as the base, a middle layer such as a sweater or romper and a light jacket within reach. Take a hat along – babies lose a lot of heat through the head and ears.

Think about wind & rain

Wind chills more than the thermometer suggests – a windproof outer layer helps. When it's wet, use a water-repellent jacket or a rain cover for the stroller. Still make sure it doesn't get too warm: prefer breathable materials and check the neck regularly.

Frequently asked questions

What should my baby wear at 10–15 degrees?

Because the weather fluctuates – thin layers can be adjusted quickly and insulate better.
